Co-Founded by myself and Ellie Carr-Smith, we would like to introduce -
STUDIO MEAD
Nearing the end of 2025 we were offered the chance to rent a studio in Stratford-Upon-Avon,
giving us the chance to work alongside others who run and facilitate workshops, in a community driven atmosphere where creativity is the goal.

Why we Started Studio Mead -
I Graduated from Loughborough University with a First in Printed Textile Design, and Ellie has a Masters of Arts from The Royal College of Art, London.
We met when we worked alongside each other screen printing runs of wallpaper & fabric for a luxury, environmentally conscious textile manufacturer.
I later specialised in screen printing stencils, so the process of coating, exposing and cleaning silk screens to produce stencil designs for use in the manufacture of corporate merchandise.
Ellie went on to work with commercial sewing patterns, making connections with various local artists through running workshops. Her tufting workshops have been a great success, offering people the chance to design and make a tufted cushion.
But we didn't want to stop there, we want to push the boundaries of what people can create in our space. Offering facilities for personal projects and educational development - from beginners and young people, to graduates who still want a space to hone their craft, and adults who want to try something completely new!

Big Ideas & Making it Happen -
Starting a business together is a steep learning curve, and we want our design studio to reflect peoples creative freedom and individualism, the space isn't about making perfect art, it's about learning how to get the best out of a craft and a process.
​
We know there is a gap in the market for these facilities, and that is because the equipment is an investment, and usually people just don't have the space to store it.
This is a problem we both experienced when wanting to develop our portfolios, and we wanted to offer these facilities to everyone.

There are individual bookable slots for all of our workshops, as well as space for groups and parties to come and spend the time here, flexibility and creativity is the goal, and we are so excited to bring peoples ideas to life with them.
