Butterfly Watercolour Original (Framed)
A2 original watercolour painting.
This piece, as much as it looks like an exploration of abstract forms, is about love and loss. I find that when there is emotional upheaval, the only solution is to paint, to get lost in line and detail - and this surreal image takes inspiration from the eyes of a loved one. The tones I achieve in the gradients of colour, and the blending of yellow and blue, is all an abstraction from the iris of an eye, framed with lashes and glinting hints of light and emotion.
This piece was painted over a period of 3 weeks, and within it is the memory of how you can miss a person, and how you can heal.
