January Birth Flowers Print - Carnation & Snowdrop

Januarys Birth Flowers are known to represent deep love, devotion and resilience through winters darkest days. The tiny and determined shoots of the snowdrop break through the frozen earth as the first sign of life, representing resilience and rebirth.

A flower that can grow all year round, the carnation is a symbol of devotion and loyalty. Carnations belong to the Dianthus genus, which includes around 300 different species of flowering plants. The name "Dianthus" comes from two Greek words, "dios" (meaning divine) and "anthos" (meaning flower).

I dont think it is a coincidence that my love of the shapes and symmetry of butterflies and moths has lead me to bow making. Shouldn't we all have a cute little set of wings of our own? My first collection of bows were created from 20 fabric samples that i designed in my first year of university, having lost the artworks and print files, i wont be able to replicate any of these designs again, making each bow completely unique.
