'Moth Eyes' Print

'Moth Eyes' Print

Reproduction of an original watercolour painting digitally printed onto Hahnemühle German Etching paper (310gsm) and backed with 2mm card, A2.

This painting represents a few different species of moth, with large spots on the wings, purposefully moving away from the symmetrical nature of Lepidoptera (Moths & Butterflies) to create a surreal swirl of colour and shapes, I wanted this piece to allow the gaze to run across shapes we commonly identify as wings, to see the patterns in a different way.

£40.00Price

I dont think it is a coincidence that my love of the shapes and symmetry of butterflies and moths has lead me to bow making. Shouldn't we all have a cute little set of wings of our own? My first collection of bows were created from 20 fabric samples that i designed in my first year of university, having lost the artworks and print files, i wont be able to replicate any of these designs again, making each bow completely unique.
