Researching ornate birds from around the world led me to discover this breed of pigeon - the worlds largest pigeon variety. At first glance this could be a mythical creature, with its sky blue feathers and its abundant plumage, fanning out like a weightless crown. Using the vines as a interweaving boarder, the plumage is echoed in the spacious stems of the orchids.

I dont think it is a coincidence that my love of the shapes and symmetry of butterflies and moths has lead me to bow making. Shouldn't we all have a cute little set of wings of our own? My first collection of bows were created from 20 fabric samples that i designed in my first year of university, having lost the artworks and print files, i wont be able to replicate any of these designs again, making each bow completely unique.
