Using laser cut stencils, I pressed and layered shapes into porcelain clay to create relief patterns

Working to a live brief set by Milliken, a global carpet tile manufacturer, for an interior textiles project. I pitched concept ideas for a store with the title 'Reconstructed Legacy' including carpet tiles, hard textiles such as tiles and coordinating wallpapers & fabrics.

I produced these tiles to inform my carpet tile designs - using photoshop to build up textures taken from the shadows and indentations that formed in the clay. I also experimented with ceramic transfer glazes which added rustic colour and pattern to the blank tiles.
