I explored the archetypal symbols that have crossed cultures and religions throughout human civilisation. I then created my own symbolic characters that represented my experience of living and sensing the world around me. Exploring introspection, time passing and the way it feels to be conscious and sentient.

Above - I drew from these images, exploring 'the eye' as a symbol of searching and being within the world, being open to the sensations surrounding us
I used powder dyes to ice dye these neolithic style pieces of fabric (available as wall hangings) with printed motifs of mudras, which are symbolic hand gestures used in Hinduism & Buddhism to channel energy through the body, commonly used in meditation.
