Decorative feature wall for a nursery - this is my first attempt at upscaling my artworks and painting at a larger scale, and I have found the process to be very satisfying.
Having recently been asked to paint a mural for a child's nursery, with a selection of native British flowers including these cherry blossoms.
I am part way through completing this work, with the next addition being a tumble of flora at the lower level, mixing sweet-peas, peonies and vines.

Close up shots of the layered elements - Initially areas of light pink were dotted onto a washed sunrise background, with further detail added to the blossom petals.
