For me, a critical aspect of developing my print designs and concepts is painting. In an increasingly digital world, I try and find regular time to devote to a new painting or a textural deep dive.
My pen drawings and paintings are noticeably very intricate, I use small marks and lines to build up my images, preferring to build an artwork from lots of tiny details instead of blocks of colour.
